What drill bit should I use for a Gripit?

We recommend a flat drill bit or a hole saw. Please ensure that you are using the correct drill bit size for your fixing.

The use of a twist drill bit is not recommended due to the tearing effect this produces at the back of the plasterboard, where the Gripit wings need to open.

Gripit Blue holds up to 113KG. To install, you will require a 25mm drill bit.  

Gripit Brown holds up to 93KG. To install, you will require a 20mm drill bit.  

Gripit Red holds up to 74KG. To install, you will require an 18mm drill bit.

Gripit Yellow holds up to 71KG. To install, you will require a 15mm drill bit.
