Jocelyn Shaker is the kidnapped girl in the thriller movie “Abducted.” The abducted story revolves around a mother and her struggle to ensure the safe return of her seven years old daughter.
The little girl got kidnapped where her Colombian stepfather and American mother are suspected for involving in the crime. In contrast, her stepfather loves the little girl much.
The climax in the movie reaches when Caitlin finds out the kidnapping mastermind is Javier’s business partner Maria.

What Happened To Jocelyn Shaker?
Jocelyn Shaker got kidnapped from a resort in the Colombian rainforest. The incident happened when Jocelyn, along with her mother, Caitlin, and her new father, Javier, went for family outings in a Colombian resort.
While the couple was having dinner with long-time business partner Maria Jiminez, little Jocelyn disappeared from her hotel room.
The night of fun and excitement suddenly turns into a nightmare as a mother can’t get her child.
Caitlin’s new husband was initially suspected and arrested for kidnapping his stepdaughter. He, however, had not committed any crime and the police’s investigation failed.
The poor mother could neither rest on police nor trust anyone as everybody seemed to suspect.
She then decided to find her daughter on her own and went to an extreme level discarding her safety for bringing her back.
Is Abducted Based On True Story?
Though Abducted is not based on any true story, the stars have justified each character they played. The film story seemed lively and real due to the team’s hard work.
The filmmakers have neither informed about the story being inspired by real-life events.
However, a similar incident happened to three years Madeleine McCann in May 2007. Little McCann disappeared from their holiday apartment when her doctor’s parents and her twin siblings were having dinner outside in Praia da Luz, in the Algarve region of Portugal.
The parents were though glancing at their sleeping daughter often. Though the news of Madeleine’s disappearance was over the national and international media, she is still not found yet.
After an in-depth investigation, police couldn’t find her and thought of died inside the hotel and her parents covering up the situation. The logic, however, was baseless and was dismissed by the court.
Some parts of the movie plot resemble real-life incidents. The conclusion of getting Shaker back in the movie contrasts with Madeleine McCann not getting back in real life.
Though the film story ended with a happy ending, the same did not happen in real-life events. The parents of Madeleine, Kate, and Gerry McCann are still thinking about the kidnapper who took their daughter.
